Fragile but functional |
| I have returned two sets of the QZ-2000 in 6 years for repair due to AC hum pickup in the device. Not a particularly durable track record. The unit does work well, though, in getting rid of low intensity, low frequency ambient sounds, like on an airplane, with or without an audio playback device attached. Open headphone design is not that effective against really loud ambient noise like on the subway. Having the batteries and logic in an external box is cumbersome. Batteries last forever. Overall, I would look into getting a self-contained, closed earcup design if I get tired of sending mine in over and over again for "lifetime" warranty repair. |

Good for mowing the lawn, part duex |
| I will echo vander-reviewers comments about this headset. They don't cancel the roar of my Deere, but they attenuate it to a comfortable level making it possible to enjoy music while I mow. It takes some adjustment to get it to fit comfortably over a ball cap and sunglasses, if not you'll notice some discomfort after an hour or so. (Lucky vander-r, my lawn takes 4 hours on a good day.) |
