Stars The card advertised is not what is being sold here
I purchased this video card expecting to receive a non-OEM, genuinely original ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb adapter. After all, that is what is advertised, and the picture shown is that of an original ATI 9800 Pro box. Nowhere in this item description is the manufacturer JETWAY mentioned. The box you will receive upon buying this card is different from what is pictured above, as is the product, which is manufactured by a company called Jetway; you can find this card on their website at www.jetway.com.tw. I will be honest here and say that despite the card not being what I expected (and more importantly, not being what I paid to have sent to me), its performance has so far been acceptably good so I probably won't go through the hassle of returning it. The only problem I have had has been occasional white/multi-colored flickering of polygons, but it doesn't happen extremely frequently. Unfortunately when it happens in dark areas in games such as Half-Life 2 it can be quite noticable. I am not sure if this is due to the card being a Jetway or not, having never used a truly original ATI 9800 Pro..
The bottom line however is that the product being sold here is not the same as what is described and what you are lead to believe you are buying. Thus in what could have otherwise been a perfectly satisfactory transaction, I am forced to rate the item and the seller poorly, because in my book, lying to the customer is a pretty poor business practice. If you are looking to buy an all-original ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb card, don't buy it here.

Stars Not really an ATI ORIGINAL
It is presented as an original ATI RADEON card, when it is really a JETWAY card with the 9800 chipset.

Please considered it, you are betting 160 dollars on a chineese product.

AMAZON and global computing should make clear what are you buying.

Stars Very good AGP videocard
This PC videocard is still a very good upgrade for those not willing to invest in a complete system upgrade or don't care about 1200x768 resolution with 6X Anti-Aliasing, etc. Image display & playability with majority of games out on market is very good. Games such as Far Cry, Painkiller, Half Life 2, Diablo II, Doom 3, Halo, Warcraft 3, Sims 2, etc. all play wonderfully with some video setting tweaking, game patches & driver updates.

I have this installed in a PC with the Soyo KT600 Dragon Ultra PE mobo, 512MBx2 Geil PC3200/400MHz VRam, Athlon XP 2600+ Barton 1.92GHz CPU, Seagate 160GB HDD 7200 RPM, Thermaltake 480W PSU, and other needed components. Being my mobo has mfr listed compatibility issues I'm running this card AGP 4X and these are my benchmarks: 3DMark05 2800, 3DMark01SE 14500, AquaMark 30000, PCMark04 5000, & 3DMark03 ?. System is running at stock settings no OCing of any kind and its decent for gaming all within warranty. Even at AGP 4X this beats out my ATi AIW 9600XT AGP 8X in display appeal and frames.

This and other mid to high-end cards however may only slightly improve game performance if you are running an older system with lots of bottleneck, but still improvements should be decent regardless. *Dell owners may have to request/buy stronger powersupply units from Dell to fully support cards power consumption demand. Most low to mid range performance Dell PCs are equipped with only standard min 250W PSU so system lock ups, restarts, blue screen, and other symptoms may occur. There are many variations of this card from many mfr's so try other vendors such as NewEgg.com for lower prices. The only major advantage of buying "Built by ATi" instead of "Powered by ATi" is the 3 yr ATi mfr warranty that not all 3rd party mfr do not offer. Same technology just differ warranty, but for this listed price I'd probably buy Nvidia GeForce 6600GT AGP instead. If you insist on this vcard then pair this with at least 1 GB of RAM and your gaming will be joyful. Also defrag your drives while your at it.
