The real experience of actually flying...in a software.
The only drawback I had was that there were no instructions/booklet in the box. |

| Just spoke to my 34 year old son, for whom I bought the simulator, and he said he was absolutely crazy about it. It's his second flight simulator and because he always enjoyed the first one, he wanted the new 2004 edition. He does a lot of traveling all over and gets such a kick out of landing and taking off in airports that he has actually be in. It's fun to "fly" planes that he knows he will never have an opportunity to even see, ie. Wright Brothers first plane, planes from the 1950's, let alone get as close to "flying" them as the simulator lets him. |

The tutorials are decent - you have to use them to have any chance of piloting even the basic plane.
The scenery is sometimes rather sketchy, sometimes very realistic, but apparently very accurate.
You have to use a good joystick to make any progress, probably a yoke would be best.
The 737 is very difficult to master! Whenever I fly now, which is often, I am amazed at how smoothly the pilots can make their approaches! |
