Stars Filmmaker's preaching to the choir and he still gets booed offstage
Believe what you want, but do not buy this DVD thinking that it's a documentary. The basis of the filmmaker's claims rely on hearsay, opinions, unprovable statements, and lame clips of non-news programs like O'Riley Factor, et al. What's showing O'Riley saying "shut up" 50 times proving? This video is as much propaganda as its target, FOXNews. If you're looking for an intelligent arguement, look elsewhere.

Stars Not news to anyone.
I rented this DVD thinking it would offer some really compelling insights into the inner workings of Fox News, but I was pretty disappointed. As anyone who has ever spent even five minutes watching Fox News already knows, the channel is very biased. This documentary does nothing more than show montages of biased clips (many of which may have been taken out of another context) and offers some rather shabbily edited interviews with former employess, some of whom didn't want to be named.

Fox News is an appalling channel, but it's only ONE channel. If people actually WANT to get the "fair and balanced" story, they are welcome to change the station. Obviously many conservatives love to complain that every other channel has a liberal bias, so maybe the secret recipe for balanced news is to take one hour of CNN or ABC or what have you, add one hour of Fox News, let simmer, and serve. Unfortunately this probably won't work, because the state of journalism is in such deploable decay that it's hard to find ANY channel where reporter's opinions and running commentary don't interrupt and color the broadcast on a regular basis, and talking heads have become a fixture on every channel, not just Fox. This movie would have been a lot more ballsy if it had examined the shabby state of ALL news media outfits, instead of reserving all its venom for Fox.

Overall this movie plays like a cheap shot, if only because it's so obviously cheaply made. It reveals nothing illuminating about Fox News or the nature of corporate, profiteering journalism, and it seems to particularly have a vendetta against Bill O'Rielly, who is actually one of the few voices of "reason" on Fox News, for the most part. I mean, he's a conservative and he doesn't care who knows it, but when compared to Sean Hannity or some of the other people they have slinging mud over at Fox, he's positively a pussy cat. But for some reason he is made out to be the worst of the worst at Fox, and Hannity (who in my opinion is actually far more biased; facts just ROLL off the man like water on a duck) is given a pass. Maybe the producers of this movie were wronged by O'Reilly in some previous life.

It's really too bad that this movie is so shabbily put together, because it seems to be just another prime example of left-wing softballs that allow right-wingers who play hardball to keep getting away, quite literally, with murder.

Stars unbelievable
since i never watch fox news because of it's bad reputation, the movie was a real shocker for me. not that i was under the impression that nothing like what happens in this film ever happens with the media, i just didn't realize that there were people willing to come forward and say so and that there was good evidence for the truth. in any case, i am disgusted with this station, not to mention with its affiliates and the American public who watch it. media is supposed to be "fair and balanced" people, this isn't a sports game. get off your seats and educate yourselves. if you are going to complain about liberals, you had better have a good reason and you better be more informed than the average fox news watcher. stop being lazy!!!! just stop it!
